Did you know that the ancient world knew exactly what our bodies needed during seasonal changes? And did you know that many of these ancient botanicals and spices are now more commonly used in many recipes, yet when combined in these ancient ways, have noticeable effects on our mental health in the darker months of the year? Let's have some fun with winter herbal and nature traditions from all over the world - and uncover how plants and rustic herbalism plays a major role! 1.You will learn to make 10 herbal items to be used however you like - as gifts or for yourself! 2. We will discuss the cultural roots of the potions, tinctures, oils and herbal blends that we make. 3.Learn the physical properties and uses of traditional holiday and winter plants, herbs and spices. 4. Discuss how many of our customs are rooted in Earth energy and how to maintain that connection in our homes during the cold, dark and busy winter season. 5. Learn about winter practices in far-away places and how they all tie together. 6. You'll get 10 recipes for winter plant-based healing items with recommendations for sourcing the best ingredients. 7. We will discuss what plants and practices will help YOU get through the emotions and energies of the holiday and winter season. 8. You will learn botanical and magical practices that will help bring positive energy to your home in the New Year! **** Everyone enrolled will receive a FREE package of Melissa's custom-blended New England Mulling Spices in the mail!!!**** All students will receive materials prior to each class. Students who attend all four classes (or who review the recorded Zoom class) will receive a Certificate of Completion from for the "Botanicals: Magically Spice Up the Holidays" course from The Rocky Mountain Academy of Energetic Arts.
